THE SEA CADETS AS A WHOLE...

WHO ARE WE?

The SCC is a uniformed youth organisation, that is not para-military nor pre-service. It is administered by the Sea Cadet Association and sponsored by the Ministry of Defence.

The are about 400 Sea Cadet Units in the U.K and Northern Ireland. However only about 90 Units in total have Marine Cadet Detachments. Waltham Forest Unit is now one of those.

Many Units also have a Junior Sea Cadet Section, which are part of the SCC but do not receive funding from the Ministry of Defence and are financed entirely by the Unit. Waltham Forest also have a Junior Sea Cadet Section
